The CS55 wasn't the most comfortable or stable on my ear but it worked and I never had any connection issues; battery life was also really good.The CS70 disappoints in several areas. First, feedback and connection issues. Half of the time when I am talking I hear myself in the ear piece. I have tried every combination of volumes, channels, and distances between myself, the receiver and the phone with no luck. Second, battery life should be more for an office phone. I can't get much more than 2.5-3 hours of talk time out of it. If someone has one of these for work then it's because they use it a lot and can only charge it for 5-10 minutes between calls or over lunch. My voyager 510 (which I assume has... The headset is connected to a Polycom IP450 in my home office. This is my primary work location. I use it every day.The call quality is excellent; and it is a very comfortable headset (I forget I have it on sometimes). I am disappointed with the limited range - I cannot go from one of the house to the other; or outside. I have not been able to get the HL10 lefter accessory to work correctly with the Polycom IP450. |

She found it comfortable & convenient to wear.My problem was the design of the electronics. Once registered, this headset can not be reset independently from the base it is registered to. My AT&T phone system base failed / died. I was not able to un-register the headset from the "dead" base. I returned the original phone system for a replacement, but now the headset TL7600 was still registered to the defunct system and could not be reset. I could not register it to the new phone base/system. I contacted AT&T techical support, and they could only ship me out a new headset. If I had bought a AT&T wireless headset #TL7610, I would have been able to reset the headset through the available program buttons mounted on... The TL7600 is a small, lightweight headset with a number of different ear plug/headset options. The signal strength and voice quality is very high and I can wander quite a ways from the base station without any degradation to the quality. The only issue I have is that the ear piece volume is too high. There is a volume control on the headset but it only goes down so far. Dial calls on another handset and pick up on the headset while it's ringing. Mute the other handset to keep it on the line if you need to dial any numbers such as for voicemail or conference call. I have not experienced the problem with broken earpieces that others have been harping about, and my usage has been 3-8 hours a day, every day (minus a week of vacation in September).I feel paranoid, though, and want to order extra earpieces from Plantronics as they do *look* flimsy. I do have several gripes; one is that I get echo in the earpiece if I turn up the gain on the microphone too high, but I do not know if this is a problem with the headset, or my phone (Cisco 7960). Another nitpick would be to have some way to put the phone on/off hook w/o using the HL10--it's such an ugly hack... All in all, the product performs perfectly as advertised, crystal clear communication, the earpiece is comfortable if you don't wear glasses (sometimes I don't wear my contacts and the earpiece can become uncomfortable with glasses on;... The first thing I realized is that the cs50 wouldn't work with my cordless phone. That's because it takes as input the wire that connects the telephone handset to the telephone base unit. So I tried using my corded phone. But that wouldn't work either because the wire could not be removed, this is a problem with most phones where the keypad is not in the base but is in the handset. So I bought another $20 corded phone (29318GE1) and the cs50 worked with it, but the other party could not hear me well. I tried several other inexpensive phones but the clarity was not there. In desperation I tried an expensive phone (an $80 29486GE2), the kind one has in the office, and the cs50 worked much much better with it. I still could hear an irritating echo, but that went away after some tuning. The mouthpiece is very lightweight, and the sound quality is excellent. The battery life is as advertised -- you can talk all day without needing to recharge. I also purchased the phone lifter to be able to answer calls while away from my desk. The unit comes with interchangeable over-the ear attachments and an over-the head attachment that snap onto the earpiece/mouthpiece unit.The high points of the unit stop there. I was used to using an over-the-ear Plantronics Tristar, and was surprised to see that the earpiece on the CS50 simply sits next to the ear and does not have any earbud-type capability for making it easy to listen in noisy environments. The over-the-ear attachment for the CS50 is nowhere near as comfortable as the Tristar was, and I gave up and switched to the headset attachment.
